FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What inspires your artwork?
My love of nature is a constant inspiration for my paintings, from real views over the landscape and coast to imagined scenes bringing together big skies, stormy seas or a dense forest and muted shades.
What materials do you use in your paintings?
I mostly work in acrylic, but I also sometimes enhance my paintings with materials like oils pastels, charcoal, textured paste or collage. I occasionally use watercolours or oils for a different feel to a painting.
All my paintings are varnished with matte satin varnish to protect the painting.
Do you take commissions?
At present, I’m not taking on commissions as I feel it sometimes stifles my creativity (there’s a lot of pressure to get a commission right!). I like to paint as and when it comes naturally and then hope that these paintings resonate with the viewer.
How can I purchase your artwork?
Available paintings on canvas/wood panels and paper can be found in the ‘shop’ section of the website. These can be purchased from the website and sent directly to you (mainland UK only).
I will sometimes hold a Studio Sale too, so if you’d like to be notified, please join my mailing list.
I also exhibit at galleries and open studio events where you can view my artwork in person (always best!) There is an ‘exhibition’ section for news on shows.
You can purchase prints of my artwork through online companies – the beautiful Whistlefish gallery in Cornwall has a website where you can find my framed prints for sale. They also sometimes have my work framed and for sale in their 12 galleries across Cornwall and Devon.
My prints are also for sale through Artfully Walls who have a beautiful range of curated artwork in various sizes and framing options.
Both of these are linked in the ‘prints’ section of the shop.
Do you ship internationally?
At present I am only shipping to UK mainland due to new restrictions and laws concerning parts of Europe. I am also revising my postage to be able to ship to the US.
What is your return/exchange policy?
I obviously want you to be delighted with your purchase but if the artwork is not as you expect, please contact me via email within 14 days of receipt of delivery to request a refund.
Once a return has been agreed, please note you are responsible for packing and arranging the return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. Return delivery costs are at the customer's expense.
Once the piece has been safely returned, undamaged and in original packaging, I will refund your payment within 14 days.
Can I see your work in person?
Although I have a small art studio, I’m not set up for visitors at my home. However, I am trying to increase the exhibitions I attend, and the open studio events are a great opportunity to visit me and see my artwork in person and have a chat!
Do you offer prints or only original artwork?
All the artwork for sale on the website is original. I only sell prints through my online retailers at the moment. I am looking into having my artwork printed on to other items such as cards, calendars and tea towels and I will update customers as these become available.
How can I stay updated on your new works and exhibitions?
